Informations
It’s possible to walk
And step only on the bits of a certain pattern,
But then you can’t help wondering how it feels
To go on the other bits only.
- Margaret Tait. (Poems, Stories and Writings)
In Shadow Walks, the audience moves in a slow line, tracing the footsteps of the person ahead, pausing at intervals. By shadowing one another, each walker becomes part of a moving chain, listening and attending from within. The line winds through streets and back alleys, visiting the acoustics, shadows, light and sound that compose the night of 19 March 2026. Passing through, it ends with an activation of a place through sound.
