Developed in 2024 during a residency in a school playground, the film was created by Myriam Van Imschoot in collaboration with Federico Protto, with support from Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers and Charlotte Delbo Elementary School. Re-edited in 2025, it will premiere on 14 June 2026 at Champagne Video in Melbourne as part of PLURAL EYE, a curated screening by Filmers. The film is also included in the publication Cour via a QR code.

In La Sortie, children guide us through the streets of suburban Paris in an agile choreography of synchronicity and tender proximity. From their perspective, pavements, detours and fragments of the street begin to shift and reorganise perception itself. As Enrique Dussel writes in Philosophy of Liberation: “Those who reveal themselves transcend the system and continuously question the given. Epiphany is the beginning of real liberation.”
Also screened as part of ‘Plural Eye’ are new works by Lynette Smith, Yanni Florence, Ettore Siracusa, Dirk de Bruyn, Michael Buckley and Marcus Bergner.
